Welcome to the Valley Branch ELC Special Education Program
If you are a special education teacher new to the district or have not
been to the Valley Branch ELC, I encourage you to take advantage of
this opportunity. We are located in Afton, Minnesota about 30 minutes
east of St. Paul. It is a result of a partnership between the Saint
Paul Public Schools and a non-profit called the Belwin Conservancy. Students have over
225 acres of woods, prairie, ponds, and streams to explore. The special
education program is lead by a licensed special education teacher with
over 20 years experience. Last year over 2000 students and teachers
took part in this program. We service early childhood special education
programs, elementary and secondary programs, and transition programs.
